Mark White
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mark has been actively involved in law enforcement, corporate security and loss prevention for over 35 years. Mark co-founded The Loss Prevention Group, Incorporated in April 2006 along with Matthew Lujan.
Prior to The Loss Prevention Group, Inc., Mark most recently held the position of Vice President of Operations for Sony Corporation of America, and directed the development of the Loss Prevention programs for all retail and entertainment based operations, including all policies, procedures, and investigative protocols. Mark was involved in all design and implementation phases of a 7-million dollar Security Operations Center. Mark also trained and mentored many associates who have gone on to become successful in the Security and Law Enforcement fields.
Mark has also worked for several Fortune 500 companies over the past two decades. Mark has worked in the capacity of Loss Prevention Director, Director of Asset Protection, Sr. Regional Manager, Corporate Investigator, Manager of Loss Prevention, and Undercover Investigator. Mark has also worked on external theft suppression teams, and assisted the California Highway Patrol's C.A.R.G.O. Cats, and Reno Police Department's Repeat Offender Programs.
Mark has specialized in investigations and integrity interviewing in “white collar crime” and embezzlement cases and has conducted over 2,000 interviews with a very high level of success and monetary recovery rate. Mark takes a "common sense" approach to solving critical security issues and investigations.
Mark recently retired from a local police department after 20 years as a Reserve Police Officer and POST certified Background Investigator. Mark was awarded Reserve Police Officer of the Year on four occasions during his tenure, and patrolled the streets both in patrol cars and off-road motorcycles.
Matt Lujan
Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Prior to forming The Loss Prevention Group, Inc. (LPG) with Mark White, Matt had a successful management career in proprietary security and loss prevention with Sony Corporation of America and the Virgin Entertainment Group. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Matt's responsibilities have included guard force management, executive and celebrity protection, security control center operations, internal investigations, risk/threat assessments, inventory control, and special event security coordination.
Matt is certified through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) as LPG's Private Patrol Operator qualified manager and is also a BSIS licensed firearms and baton training instructor (TIF 2570 & TIB 1954). Additionally, Matt is a California DOJ certified firearms instructor, a State of Utah certified concealed firearm instructor and is credentialed by the NRA as a civilian pistol instructor, range safety officer and a law enforcement firearms handgun instructor. Matt is also a POST certified baton instructor.
In 2014, Matt was appointed by the BSIS Bureau Chief to the BSIS Advisory Committee. Matt served on the committee from 2014 - 2018 as the representative for all Private Patrol Operators in the state. In 2018, Matt was appointed to a four-year term by Governor Edmond G. Brown Jr. as a member of the private security disciplinary review committee at the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Since 2004, Matt has worked as a reserve police officer and background investigator with a city police department in the San Francisco bay area. He primarily works in the patrol division, but also works special details including gang task force, DUI enforcement and alcohol beverage control enforcement. Since 2012, Matt has served on the Board of Directors for the California Reserve Peace Officers Association (CRPOA).
Matt holds an Associate in Arts degree in Administration of Justice, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, with a concentration in Criminal Justice Administration.

Mark Reiss
Operations and Business Development
Mark is in charge of the Security Services Division Operations and Business Development. He has been in the security field for over 18 years and has been in security management for 11 of those years. His work history includes a background in school institutional, high rise, apartment complexes, hospital, special events and retail security here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mark also served in law enforcement working with two peninsula law enforcement agencies both as a reserve and later as a regular Deputy Sheriff as a member of their Classification Unit and Emergency Services Units (ESU).

As our Master Instructor, Marcus brings “real world” experience to our training courses from combat Marine Veteran to Police Officer and Security Officer. He has worked plush world class venues to street level low-income housing assignments.
Marcus is highly regarded by all of our participants and continues to work hard to improve our course offerings and raise the bar on instruction.

Jim Chase
Instructor
Jim retired as a distinguished Police Officer after 36 years from an East Bay law enforcement agency. While in law enforcement Jim was a Motorcycle Officer, Patrol Officer, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Impact Weapons Instructor, Taser Instructor, Investigations and Field Training Officer.
Jim also proudly served in United States Coast Guard.
Jim currently teaches the Basic Guard Card Course for LPG.

Roger Estrada
Instructor
Roger's background includes over 20 years of law enforcement and military experience. Roger has served in the United States Marine Corps, California State Army National Guard, a Bay Area Sheriff's Office and Police Department, along with the Federal Protective Service. Roger also has a B.A. in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco.
Roger has over 10 years as a Firearms Instructor, teaching Military Police hand gun course of fire, NRA basic pistol course and the Department of Homeland Security law enforcement course of fire.
Roger makes it his personal goal to instill safe pistol handling and manipulation skills for our aspiring armed guard work force. Roger makes it a priority for his students to understand the law in regards to handgun safety and use of force policies and procedures that are compliant or exceed BSIS regulations.

Phil has a very experienced background in both law enforcement and security training. Phil is a veteran Police Officer, a current Private Investigator, and a POST Certified Firearms Instructor for Law Enforcement.
Phil is also a certified BSIS Instructor for Guard Card, Baton and Firearms. Phil is very passionate about providing top quality training to his students.

Serena Trueman
Instructor
Serena has many years of practical security experience in the security industry, and currently also works as a K-9 Explosive Handler for Homeland Security at airports. Serena and her K-9 partner search for explosives in both international and domestic cargo.
Serena teaches our Guard Card training course as well as the CPR/AED and First Aid training courses, and loves sharing her security experiences with our students as well as teaching the courses with enthusiasm.
Serena also is a NRA certified Range Safety Officer at our BSIS Exposed Firearms Training courses. Serena is also a certified Live Scan and Ink Fingerprint Roller in the State of California.
Serena proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer and her primary role was guarding missile silos. Serena is currently working on her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Security Management.
